Tips for Party Guest Follow-Up
Guests are the bloodline of any party business. Personal one-on-one purchases are great, but the guests at a party are how you make more profit. These guests are also your best bet to be a future hostess. By keeping in contact with them you highlight your great service and new products.
After the party we all know to contact the hostess and find out how she likes her products and to make sure everything was delivered in good condition. But do you contact the guests as well?
When you get notice that the order is shipping to the hostess make sure and contact the guests and let them know it is on it’s way as well. Online parties are frequently delivered straight to the customer since the orders can be from all over the country, but if they are going to the hostess then the customer may not get notice of when it’s expected to arrive.
Sign them up to a newsletter. If they purchased from you then you know they are interested in your products or possibly your company. Send them out monthly updates on new products and any specials. Include little blurbs about signing up as a hostess or new recruit.
During the party I hope that you made little notes of products certain attendees talked about or showed interest in. Keep this as a kind of wishlist. Send them a quick note or email personally if that item comes on sale. This shows that you were attentive to them during the party and not just there to push sales that day and move on to the next person. If you can have them fill out an online wishlist this is even better. There are many online software programs you can use if you want to go the wishlist route. It is possible to set it up as an option to have them fill out when they sign up for your newsletter or a form on your website.
Everyone wants to be remembered. A few weeks after the party, send them a card and ask them how they are enjoying their products. This personal touch is something that will set you apart from all other consultants. If you can include a sample of a new product, all the better.
