Tips for Hostess Follow-Up
Your hostess is your best friend in business. Make them happy and they spread the word like wildfire. They do awesome word of mouth advertising for you and invite new customers to you! Keeping in contact with them is crucial.
For one thing, book their next party while they are excited about all they are going to get for free and at discount. There is no reason why you can’t book the party a year out if you know they want to have one before Christmas every year or in the Summer. Let them know when the next catalog or new product launch is and see if they are interested.
Hopefully your company lets you know when orders ship out. Keep an eye on when the hostess order goes out and send them an email when it is scheduled to arrive. Contact them on the date is scheduled for delivery to make sure it did get there. This is especially important for online parties. Some hostesses can feel a little disconnected because the consultant wasn’t there visually. Give them an email or hopefully a call and ask them how the product was when it was received and how everyone is loving their orders.
Make sure you get them signed up on your newsletter list. You know they love your products so you need to get your hostess and customer specials to them every month. I know some suggest that every other month is ok and I do not agree. Two months is long enough for them to lose some excitement about a product they may have wanted to order. The more contact you have with them the more they will remember to make that purchase.
If you don’t keep in contact with them, you may lose them to another consultant or another company. Make the most of your hostess contact and keep her inform. Pamper her as much as you can. Send her a thank you card and impress her with your follow through and dedication to service.
