We had a family party this weekend, and as I was getting ready, I put on makeup for the first time in I don’t know how long! Working from home, I don’t feel like I have to wear it everyday, and I have no problem being seen in public without it. I hardly think about putting it on anymore unless we have an event to go to.
What about you? Do you wear makeup every day, or hardly ever think about it?

I am a stay at home/work at home mom as well, and I do wear make up just about everyday. At first I was like you, I didn’t feel the need, I was home mostly or running around town. I have two young boys and a fiance so I had no one to impress. However, starting my business as an independent beauty consultant, I’m pretty much obligated to look my best everyday. I take care of my skin and throw light makeup on before I leave the house. When I look my best I feel my best and I feel confident to go out with my children and know that I am a cute sexy mom! Sometimes you get consumed with being comfortable and thinking you don’t need to impress anybody, you have the kids to think about, dinner, work, but just the feeling of being beautiful makes you feel like the true woman you are! Great skin and a little make up to enhance your awesome features reminds you that you are a beautiful woman. My fiance likes the fact that I take the time for myself, and now I’ve invested in some sexy underwear! Little things like that help me tap into my inner sexy woman, and reminds me that under the spit up on my clothes, toys in my purse, paper work on my desk, and bills that I need to pay, I am still a beautiful woman!
Very true Sophia, thanks for commenting. It’s amazing how some of the little things really add up to your day being brighter.
My biz takes me outside the home many days a week so I wear a light makeup. But if I know I’m going to be home, then nope, I don’t wear it anymore.
I work outside the home pt as a homemaker for the elderly, and at home pt with my businesses. I dont wear make up to work because I sweat when cleaning these homes, and hate it when my makeup runs or feels cakey from the sweat. I only wear make-up when I go out somewhere with my DH. I used to be a big makeup person, but my ex-husband did not like it when I wore make-up so I got away from wearing it.
I work outside the house part time but when I’m home I still like to wear make up. There’s something about being put together that makes me feel more confident and prepared. I don’t know why but that’s how it is. Plus I love playing w/ colors!
I love how you said “makes me feel more confident”. I am a firm believer in using resources that make you feel great about yourself and you said it without putting anyone else down for their decisions. Awesome comment
